On Saturday, March 12th, 2005 BOMA Edmonton held their annual Awards Gala. The event was a huge success for A. D. Williams Engineering; in addition to being highly involved in the organizing committee and sponsorship, A. D. Williams Engineering won the Pinnacle Award for Above and Beyond the Call of Duty.
Following is a summary of the award submission:
In December 2004, a well known client approached our Facility Consulting group to conduct six facility evaluations over the Christmas break. The majority of staff had already booked time off, or had already left for holidays during the last two weeks of December. However, wanting to please our clients request, Mr. William (Bill) Johnson took it upon himself to assemble a team over the week between Christmas and New Years to conduct the facility evaluations.
Mr. Bill Johnson was the Project Manager for the six facility evaluations. Due to circumstances of the transaction, property inspections were required to be completed on short notice. The scope of services included investigations of over 700,000 sqare feet of building within the one week period involving four engineering disciplines. This was a challenge for the project manager due to the tight timeframe and lack of available personal over the holiday season. Bill successfully gathered the team together.
The A. D. Williams team involved with the six facility evaluations demonstrated their commitment and dedication to the customer by working over the Christmas break and completing the reports over the New Year’s weekend in order to have the full report completed within the tight timeframe. They worked together as a team, and by doing this, they successfully completed the project on-time and under budget. |
