2007

  • 30 Years of Success Celebration.
  • A new knowledge management platform called GNOSIS is launched.
  • A customized Career Path application designed in-house for the exclusive use of our employees is launched. The Career Path application is an industry leading program that focuses and promotes growth and training throughout our organization. The application allows staff to co-manage the course of their careers by providing the framework to guide our employees through the many challenges required to advance and gain technical knowledge in their area of specialty.

2005

  • Reagan S. Williams promoted to President.
  • Naseem Bashir promoted to Vice President.
  • Allen D. Williams continues as Chairman.
  • Red Deer Branch Office is opened.
  • Consulting Engineering Services are expanded to include municipal.
  • Completed our first LEED® Certified building in the Northwest Territories (Greenstone Building) which received an Award of Merit for Building Engineering Excellence from the Consulting Engineers of Alberta.

2004

  • Winnipeg Branch Office is opened.
  • Purchased CWA Structural Engineers of Calgary to add structural capability to the Calgary Branch.
  • Share purchasing opportunity opened to all qualified employees.

2003

  • 25 Years of Success Celebration.

1999

  • Firm ownership is expanded to include senior management shareholders.

1997

  • Corporate structure is re-defined to a market, client, and project-focused structure.
  • KMS launched (Knowledge Management System) an award winning intranet program for communication and collection of corporate knowledge.

1993

  • Calgary Branch Office is opened.

1990

  • Consulting Engineering services are expanded to include electrical engineering.

1989

  • Yellowknife Branch Office is opened.  A. D. Williams Engineering became officially recognized by the Government of the Northwest Territories (GNWT) as a “Recognized Northern Consultant”.

1984

  • Consulting Engineering Services expanded to incorporate geotechnical, environmental, materials testing, and the opening of the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Certified Testing Laboratory.

1981

  • Consulting Engineering Services expanded to include civil/structural engineering and building science.

1978

  • A. D. Williams Engineering Ltd. Opened in Edmonton and began operations as a mechanical and forensic engineering firm under the leadership of Allen D. Williams.
